Q. Am I eligible to join ACRRM’s Professional Development Program?

A. You need to be a member of the College to be eligible. Please go to our membership page here to find out about the benefits. Types of membership can be found here and you can join through our website here.

Q. Do I need to apply for a Fellowship of the College (FACRRM) to be a member of ACRRM?

A. No you don’t. You can be a member of ACRRM but not a Fellow of ACRRM.

Q. Can I become an ACRRM member if I don't work in rural or remote medical practice?

A. Yes! Membership of ACRRM is open to all GPs regardless of where they practise.

Q. Can ACRRM report on my compliance to Medicare for Vocational Registration/ Recognition as a General Practitioner  and access to the A1 Medicare Rebates?

A. Yes. ACRRM’s Professional Development Program (PDP)  is suitable for all GPs wanting to maintain their Vocational Registration/ Recognition as a General Practitioner (VR Access to A1 Medicare Rebates).

Q. How many points do I need to achieve in ACRRM’s PD  Program?

A. 100. 10 Life Support points (ALS for Fellows and BLS for non-Fellows).  30  Practice Reflective Professional Development points 60 Core points.

Q. What are the PDP requirements for the 2017-19 triennium for ACRRM members including any mandatory activities?

A. The requirements for 2017- 2019 Triennium remain unchanged.  100 points are needed overall and more information can be found by clicking on the links above.   The 2017 – 2019 PDP Handbook can be found here.

Q. Am I automatically enrolled in PDP once I’m an ACRRM member? 

A. No. You need to fill out a short online registration form so we know what reporting requirements you have. You will receive a link in your welcome email from the Membership team.
