If you are a College registrar working in a remote community, the Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) will provide you with a structured, but flexible, distance-education pathway that suits you. The RVTS provides vocational training for medical practitioners in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and remote and isolated communities throughout Australia.
The four year program allows you to access vocational training while you continue to provide general medical services to your community. Applications are usually open for the RVTS from mid June to mid July each year. Once you have applied to RVTS and been granted a training position, talk to RVTS about how to enrol with the College and your options for Recognition of Prior Learning.
