Practices can claim the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) COVID-19 vaccine suitability assessment items for those aged 5 to 11 years as they have done with other cohorts (or equivalent for Commonwealth Vaccination Clinics).

Eligible practices that are able to receive the $10 Practice Incentive Payment (PIP) per eligible patient are able to claim the PIP for those aged 5 to 11 years after they have received both a first-dose and second-dose MBS assessment service at the same practice in a clinically appropriate timeframe. Practices are also able to claim for consultations with patients aged 5 to 11 years that are more than 10 minutes under the in-depth clinical assessment items.

More information about the MBS items can be found here. More information about the PIP can be found here.
