Prepare to be challenged - be a better doctor with a FACRRM
If you're looking for the next challenge in your career, look no further than our Australian General Practice Training Program (AGPT). This government-funded training pathway pushes you to be a better doctor, resulting in Fellowship of ACRRM and qualifying you as a general practitioner.
Through our four-year program, you'll build a diverse range of skills not available in other training programs. That's because we specialise in rural medicine. A rural GP needs to have a broader skill base, to help them provide care for patients.
You'll witness first-hand the outcomes of better health on your community, becoming a leader locally. You'll rise above and beyond the standard GP care, to deliver services such as obstetrics, anaesthetics, and emergency medicine. It’s a unique career path for doctors who want to be the best in their field whilst servicing a diverse range of patients and using a wide range of skills.
Don’t forget; ACRRM is here to help. We offer personalised service to help you through your application.

- You can apply for recognised prior learning once you’ve entered into the program

Dr Jeff Robinson
"For me FACRRM has given me the skills and the knowledge to manage any situation that arises. The FACRRM offers the best training to teach young doctors how to be independent and be able to work in an isolated and often remote, rural location. If I didn’t have my FACRRM I wouldn't be able to cope with those emergencies and those difficult, demanding situations when they arise."
