Dr Rebecca Irwin is a Fellow of ACRRM with Advanced Specialised Training in Paediatrics and is based in Central West Queensland.
As a mother of two young kids, she is a strong advocate for affordability and flexibility of training and assessments. One of her main goals on the Registrar Committee is to advocate internally and externally for a well-funded and clear Rural Generalist pathway that embraces the range of advanced skills in all states and territories.
Fun fact - she loves making handmade cards.
“I have wanted to be a rural doctor ever since my first rural placement when I fell in love with the wonderful sense of community, the widened scope of practice and the multidisciplinary nature of rural healthcare. It is really such a privilege to provide care for people, families and the community from the cradle to the grave.”
