Electronic Prescribing or ‘eprescribing’ launched across Australia in 2020. It enables the prescribing, dispensing and claiming of medicines, without the need for a paper prescription.

Active Ingredient Prescribing
Mandatory for PBS and RPBS prescriptions from 1 Feb 2021. The aim is to reduce the risk of patients taking multiple doses of the same medication from different brands with the same active ingredient.
