We are seeking a Cultural Educator to join our team based in the Northern Territory. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll work in partnership with Medical Educators of a local GP Training region to assist with the development, delivery and evaluation of cultural awareness and safety training to registrars, supervisors and practice teams members.


Key to your success will be your ability to collaborate with and develop strong working relationships with our multi-disciplinary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health program team and the community. Some responsibilities will include:


  • building effective working relationships and negotiating with key stakeholders to provide region wide support
  • providing high level project development in the design and delivery of cultural awareness and safety training
  • ensure high quality and evidence based cultural education content is presented to GP registrars, GP supervisors and other key stakeholders
  • attending and actively participating / representing JCTS on relevant stakeholder committees, forums and meetings
  • Prepare required reports in accordance with set timeframes and communicate effectively around progress, issues/barriers and support
  • reviewing and providing feedback to registrars during in practice visits (External Clinical Teaching visits)

Education Council provides oversight of education and training standards on behalf of the College Board in areas related to curriculum, training, assessment and certification, ensuring these remain in alignment with the College mission and strategic directions.

Education Council considers reports, recommendations and issues raised by reporting College committees with advice regarding policy and proposals to the ACRRM Board.

Education Council meets up to six times per year with meetings conducted in evenings.

  • Coordination of regional educational events and workshops
  • Provision of general administrative support to regional training and education program delivery

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Proven experience in providing administrative support, including experience in dealing with confidential matters.

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels 
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in the use of a range of software applications and databases
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work independently once directed.

This either a full-time or part-time contract appointment is until 31 December 2025, based in the Adelaide region and is an integral part of a busy and dynamic team.

As an ACRRM representative on the selection interview panel, you will be an active interview panel member, assess and review applicant interview responses and support the College to select applicant for entry into the Fellowship program based on the selection criteria.

The Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) consist of six individual interviews conducted at separate stations. Applicants have two minutes to read a question before each interview and eight minutes to communicate the proposed course of action or ideas in relation to that question.  Interviewers include Fellows of ACRRM (FACRRM) along with representatives from the College and/or training organisations.

We have current opportunity for a full time Policy Officer based in our Brisbane CBD Office.  ACRRM has a number of flexible work opportunities for our staff.

As the Policy Officer you will support the Senior Policy Advisor within the College's Operations business unit and work within the policy team. This work will include assisting in the preparation and coordination of policy reports, submissions, documentation and analysis, and engagement with College members and stakeholders on related issues. You will support the delivery of the College-wide agenda to progress its strategic goals and to operate to the highest professional standards.

Your team works under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment so the ability to work calmly under pressure, be flexible and adaptable are key traits to ensuring our goals are met. 

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • An eye for detail, expertise for analysing and discussing policy and excellent writing skills
  • Interest in progressing and advocating for policy outcomes in the rural health space
  • Capacity to work effectively with continuous change and complex timeframes and priorities
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • A positive attitude and enjoy working in a team collaborating towards strategic goals
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to respond well to completing tasks on time and meeting required standards.

Understanding of remote and rural communities including remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the healthcare training and policy context would be of benefit.

The College is seeking nominations for Registrar Committee representative for Tasmania.

The Registrar Committee represents and supports the interests of ACRRM registrars, and informs decision-making and activities related to training, education, assessment, standards, and registrar wellbeing.

The Committee meets six times per year on Zoom, and in person at the annual Rural Medicine Australia (RMA) conference. The period of appointment for members is three years, or two years post Fellowship (whichever comes sooner).

ACRRM is growing and we are recruiting additional supervisors to work with the College in key advocacy and liaison roles in each state and territory.

Supervisor Liaison Officers are part-time roles for the College that extend the level of advocacy and wellbeing support for supervisors. They are an opportunity to further support the ACRRM training and education program, and those who are responsible for its delivery.

Duties include:

  • GP supervisor advocacy, representation and pastoral care
  • Conflict and negotiation management
  • Informing policy, systems and processes to enhance general practice training.
