ACRRM accredits educational activities to provide Fellows and members with access to a broad range of quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
The College's standards for CPD require educational activities to be high quality and relevant. Educational activities are assessed against the Professional Development Program (PDP) framework and curriculum before they are accredited, awarded hours and promoted to Fellows and members. The College accredits activities rather than providers.
No fees are charged for accreditation, attendance reporting or ongoing provider support services and the process is simple. Accrediting your activity with ACRRM provides:
Inclusion in the Activity Search directory
Access to the PDP accreditation logo to promote your activity
Access to our online portal to add activities and report attendees
Assurance for GPs that content has been reviewed against the PDP framework and curriculum and their attendance is reported directly to ACRRM
Submit your details to receive access to the ACRRM online portal. You can then log in and add your activity. It will generally be assessed within 10 business days and we will email confirmation when this has been done.
The following criteria are used to assess activities for accreditation:
ACRRM Fellows are required to complete Advanced Life Support (ALS) training in each triennium as part of their compliance for CPD. To comply, an Advanced Life Support activity congruent with the Australian Resuscitation Council ALS guidelines must be completed.
Please note - ALS courses must be a minimum of six hours long, include pre and post reflective activities, have a robust assessment process and provide members with the following skills and knowledge:
For the purposes of accreditation, that means that all participants are required to demonstrate competency in the skill stations provided, are advised of the outcome (satisfactory or otherwise), and are given guidance on how to remedy any deficits. Generally this involves a marking matrix where participant performance can be graded in a consistent way.
To retain the College’s accreditation on your educational activities, you agree to:
You will be provided with a Professional Development Program accreditation logo which can be used when you promote the accredited activity. The logo must only be used for the accredited activity, is not transferable to other activities, and must not be used to promote associated events that are held in conjunction with the accredited activity.
The College also offers a range of ways to promote your educational activity.
All accredited activities will feature in the Activity Search on our website at no cost
