Reconciliation and ensuring all First Nations communities have access to the specialised high-quality healthcare they need, has run in the veins of ACRRM and its members since the College was founded more than 25 years ago.

Officially, we started our reconciliation journey through our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in October 2018. We embedded reconciliation across our College, formalising actions and commitments, through the subsequent Innovate RAPs in 2019 and 2021.

This third RAP in the Innovate series builds on the relationships we have forged with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples across the College, broader organisations, and representational bodies.

Under the auspices of our current and previous RAPs, progress has been made towards increasing recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and cultures in College policies and activities and within the staff and membership.
However, this work is by no means complete and there are more learnings to be gained and work to be done.

Read our Innovate RAP and join us to make a real difference in the healthcare of First Nations communities across Australia.
