David spent many years working in rural NSW as well as serving on several overseas deployments with the RAAF and UN. 

As a passionate Generalist, he will tell you he found his niche with ACRRM. He has served in many roles for ACRRM, especially within the Training, Assessment and Selection Teams. He is also an expert reviewer for the AJGP.

As the Inaugural NSW Regional Director of Training (RDOT), David's role will be to support the transition of training from GP Synergy to ACRRM for our registrars. 

"I want the focus to remain on producing high quality Rural Generalists who are comfortable seeing any patient, anywhere", he said.

Out of work time, David loves to walk or mountain bike ride the trails of the Blue Mountains, run and play chess with his son. Favourite music - "anything by Mark Knopfler"
