Dr Dane Brookes is an ACRRM registrar with NTGPE currently living and working from Garramilla/Darwin doing fly out clinics to Pirlangimpi in the Tiwi Islands, Warruwi in the Goulburn Islands as well as working in the Darwin Correctional Centre. He has lived and worked in the Northern Territory for years primarily out of Mparntwe/Alice Springs where he completed his ACRRM AST in Emergency Medicine as well as his provisional training for ACEM.
His areas of interests include global health, indigenous health, LGBTQI+ health, clinical governance and medical education. On the ACRRM committee Dane aims to represent registrars through transparent timely engagement and high-level advocacy/strategic planning.
When not at work you can find Dane accessing the stunning outback of the NT, attending as many bizarre community arts events as possible (see Alice Springs Beanie Festival) or kicking back with friends for a casual game of D&D.
