In recognition of over three decades of exemplary leadership in rural healthcare, Dianne Loubey is awarded the inaugural Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) Outstanding Contribution to Rural Practice Management Award.
As practice manager of Otway Medical Clinic, Victoria, Dianne demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of care, consistently going the extra mile to ensure the clinic serves its community effectively and compassionately.
While being instrumental in the smooth operation of the clinic, she also coordinates the influenza vaccination clinic at the local football ground, the in-house COVID-19 vaccination program, and the clinic’s transition to telehealth services.
Recognising the need for a Skin Cancer Clinic, she collaborated with doctors to establish a highly successful facility, which is well utilised
ACRRM President Dr Rod Martin praises Dianne’s commitment, saying: "Dianne Loubey’s extensive experience and dedication create a supportive environment for ACRRM registrars and patients.
“Her focus on education and professional development is a cornerstone of her success and by fostering a culture of continuous learning, she not only supports the skills and knowledge of registrars but enhances the overall quality of care in her community and beyond.
“Her management practices ensure that healthcare service remains accessible, effective, and tailored to the unique needs of rural populations.
Dr Martin adds: "ACRRM is proud to honour Dianne with this award, recognising her exceptional contributions to rural practice management and her unwavering dedication to both healthcare professionals and patients".
