Dr John Hall has been a member of ACRRM since 2001. He is a past President of the Rural Doctors Association of Australia (2019 – 2021), the Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (2008) and a founding member of the Queensland Rural Generalist Program.
He currently works as the Director of Medical Services of Western Cape York in recently reopening birthing services in Weipa.
Dr Hall is a passionate advocate for rural maternity services, rural hospitals and rural private practice. He has won numerous awards for his work advocating for the profession and the communities he serves.
Roles at ACRRM include being on the selection committee, being a facilitator for ACRRM’s Rural Emergency Obstetrics Training and Pre Hospital Emergency Care courses, dedicated medical educator, and supervisor.
