Perth-based dermatologist Dr Rachael Foster has a special interest in paediatric dermatology, female genital dermatology and contact allergies.
Dr Foster currently works in paediatric and general dermatology in private practice at Halbert Dermatology in Nedlands, Western Australia, and as a consultant at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for children.
Dr Foster's interest in rural medicine developed during her studies at the University of Western Australia when she completed a year in Kalgoorlie as part of the university rural clinical requirements. The placement sparked an awareness and enjoyment of rural health, which has led her to working in rural and remote areas from Tennant Creek and rural Queensland to the Southwest and Kimberley regions of Western Australia.
Dr Foster enjoys sharing her knowledge and assisting Rural Generalists with their dermatology questions. In particular, she is keen to see cases submitted from Western Australia and cases involving her special interest areas, especially paediatric dermatology.
