Dr Ryan Sheridan was born and raised in the Wimmera-Mallee in a small town called Donald and has now settled in Mildura.
Like many young Victorians, he moved to Melbourne to complete his studies, but moved back home to be closer to family.
As many people that move to the city can attest, Ryan says the healthcare gap between metropolitan and regional areas is stark and ever widening. He believes that the recent transition to college-led training offers a great opportunity for ACRRM registrars to be a dependable local workforce that helps bridge the gap in the healthcare divide.
Ryan joined the Registrar Committee to help the College address the needs of ACRRM registrars, and to help the College make further inroads with local healthcare services to create more seamless placement opportunities for registrars.
