Dr Sarah Woodland has worked in medical education for the last 8 years teaching both registrars and medical students in rural and remote areas including direct supervision and teaching roles. The majority of her experience has been in the Kimberley working in Broome, Derby and Kununurra, though her network and understanding of the state is wider because of her work with the Rural Clinical School of WA and as a medical educator with WAGPET. Clinically her work has been mainly in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations with a special interest on mental health and chronic disease. Currently Sarah is based in Perth for family reasons but continues to work in the rural health space in advocacy, training, clinically and workforce development.
