• Present evidence of 12 months hospital experience - obtain a letter from your employer.
• Two referees - provide the contact details of two referees who may be contacted to support your application.
• Written submission - answer five questions aligned to the selection criteria, addressed in essay style. Be aware there are multiple assessors for this submission.
• Consider your personal attributes - being successfully selected onto the Independent Pathway is more than meeting the eligibility criteria. To be a great rural doctor, you need to possess particular attributes to make a successful career as a rural generalist. You will be assessed directly on your ability to meet the selection criteria.
