The Department of Health has reported that, based on forecast demand from the states and territories, it is well placed to meet forecast demand for influenza vaccine, including for the National Immunisation Program and to respond to any increased demand that may arise this year.
The Department is actively working with vaccine suppliers to secure additional supplies for the Australian market and is committed to working closely with its state and territory colleagues, as well as vaccine suppliers, to actively manage supplies of influenza vaccines and ensure they are where they are needed. ACRRM will continue to liaise with the Department and circulate any updates as they become available.
