From Monday 1 February 2021 the Australian Government is mandating that prescribers must include the active ingredient names when preparing PBS and RPBS prescriptions. A software upgrade will be required so that only compliant scripts are printed from February. We recommend getting in contact with your software provider.

Zedmed will make support for Active Ingredient Prescribing available in early January. It will be released as part of the upcoming Version 34 release and also patched in the current Version 33 release. Supporting this release Zedmed will have a number of webinars and information sessions to guide prescribers through the change. Keep an eye on their website for updates.
