The training is accredited with ACRRM and participants will be eligible for 14 Educational Activity (EA) and 6 Performance Review (PR) CPD hours. The training is also RACGP accredited, with participants eligible for 80-120 CPD points. The training is delivered online with follow-up through case consultations with ASPM’s skilled facilitators.
This training will assist GPs who struggle with mental health patients, provide transferable skills that can be utilised in their everyday practice and satisfy Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) accreditation requirements.
This course provides a wide variety of high quality, online and free resources linked to universities and other mental health research and advocacy organisations in Australia. A comprehensive reading list is provided to develop greater depth in particular areas of interest.
Participants are eligible for 80 CPD points for one weekend of online training with a further 40 CPD points for post-training in small group case consultations. Each module in the ASPM FPS training will introduce foundational information and skills and provide links to resources for further development and psycho-education for patients in any of the domains that are of interest.
