Due to recent resignations, College members are invited to express an interest in joining this important College Committee.
The Respectful Workplaces Committee (RWC) has been established in recognition of the important role that the College plays in supporting safe and respectful workplaces for its members whilst ensuring that our own internal structure and policies foster and uphold a workplace culture where diversity is celebrated, and staff and members are empowered to flourish and reach their full potential. The Committee also supports the implementation of the College Respectful Workplaces Framework.
It operates under the Terms of Reference, meets quarterly, and sponsors a workshop at the annual Rural Medicine Australia (RMA) conference.
Please contact j.johnson@acrrm.org.au by Monday 9 May if you are interested in joining the RWC, providing a short outline of your interest in the Committee and any other relevant information. The Committee seeks to represent the diverse backgrounds, locations, career stages, and work environments of the broader College membership.
The Respectful Workplaces Committee also takes this opportunity to thank those outgoing Committee members for their valuable contribution. In particular, we acknowledge the contribution of founding member Dr Chris Roy-Chowdhury, who has been very active in providing his valuable experience and perspective, often joining in meetings from remote areas and under sometimes challenging circumstances.
