The Australian Society for Psychological Medicine (ASPM) has one more Focused Psychological Strategies Skill Training ‘Level 2’ series available in 2022. Delivered online by GP’s for GP’s. The training is accredited with ACRRM and RACGP. The training is delivered online with follow-up through case consultations with ASPM’s skilled facilitators. 

This training will assist GP’s who struggle with mental health patients, will provide transferable skills that can be utilized in their everyday practice and will maintain FPS accreditation.  

This course provides a wide variety of high quality, online and free resources. Most of these come from the rich suite of resources produced by Universities and other Mental Health Research and Advocacy organisations in Australia. A comprehensive reading list is provided to develop greater depth in particular areas of interest. 

Participants are eligible CPD points/hours for one weekend of online training with a further  CPD points/ hours for post-training case consultations. Each module in the ASPM FPS training will introduce foundational information and skills, and provide links to resources for further development and psycho-education for patients in any of the domains that are of interest. 

The ASPM facilitators are experienced GP psychotherapists who deliver highly interactive and practical training. 

This is a great way to complete your CPD points/hours for the triennium and will be the last course run by ASPM for the year. Furthermore, the $600 grant subsidy has been extended so there has never been a better time to undertake the ASPM’s Focused Psychological Strategies Skill Training ‘Level 2’ 

ASPM Members can undertake the training for $1450. Non-Members cost is $1650, which includes membership to ASPM allowing for future discounts to all ASPM training and events.
