The Centre for Medicine Use and Safety at Monash University has been awarded a Medical Research Future Fund Grant entitled ‘Evidence-based Medication knowledge Brokers in Residential Aged CarE (EMBRACE)’. The EMBRACE study will evaluate translation of the 'Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Appropriate Use of Psychotropic Medications in People Living with Dementia and in Residential Aged Care'. The study is being conducted in partnership with five aged care providers across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.
The study involves a stakeholder group to provide high-level advice throughout the study and the College has been invited to nominate a representative to provide a rural and remote perspective to this group.
The first stakeholder group meeting via videoconference has been scheduled for Wednesday 7 December at 12.00pm - 1.00pm AEDT. There will be annual meetings via videoconference, with circulation of 6-monthly email communiques.
There is some remuneration available for joining each annual meeting.
