The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is seeking a College representative to join the DVA General Practitioner Advisory Group (GPAG) which will commence operations in June 2023.
This initiative will ensure the GP community is appropriately represented to inform and engage with DVA on issues facing GPs in providing healthcare to the veteran community and their families. It will enable DVA to draw on the skills, knowledge and experience of GP organisations that are committed to improving healthcare outcomes for veterans.
GPAG members will be appointed for a term of up to three years with members being drawn from professional colleges, organisations and, GPs with a special interest in veteran healthcare. The GPAG will meet every 2-3 months via MS Teams with an annual in-person meeting being held in Canberra. Travel will be arranged and funded by DVA. Sitting fees will be in accordance with government guidelines.
