Our thoughts are with communities in North Queensland currently facing floods and extreme weather.

We continue to urge all emergency service agencies, government departments, councils and other related agencies to include the skills and experience of Rural Generalists in their recovery planning.

We acknowledge many members are dealing with personal challenges, while also assisting neighbours, friends, colleagues and patients in the region.

While we recognise there is a long way to go before this weather pattern abates, the College has resources to assist with managing recovery, including a flood action plan and counselling services, available here.

Members have access to 24/7 wellbeing support though the ACRRM Employee Assistance Program for free. Call 1800 818 728 to receive immediate and confidential phone counselling support. The College’s wellbeing coordinator Paul Townsley is also available on 1800 223 226.

If you are impacted and need to discuss any College-related matters such as professional development or training requirements, please contact the College on 1800 223 226 or email membership@acrrm.org.au for assistance.
