The College has joined the National Children’s Digital Health Collaborative, a transformative, national partnership established on behalf of the Australian Digital Health Agency. The Collaborative is developing digital health solutions to support the health and wellbeing of Australian children. The solutions will be trialled and evaluated in different states and will be available to health practitioners, parents and carers to share information about the child’s health and wellbeing.

The Collaborative is developing and evaluating:

  • a digital child health record, which brings together information from different state baby books into one digitised record
  • a digital pregnancy health record to share information between a pregnant woman and her healthcare providers, and
  • the secure capturing of standardised, health check information for children as they grow into teenagers.

The College is also a member of the Child Digital Health Record – Clinical Informatics Endorsement Committee established to provide clinical governance over the information to be collected and stored by these projects and to have the specifications owned, adopted and maintained nationally.

Members interested in child health and being involved in these new initiatives can contact the eHealth team at ehealth@acrrm.org.au
