ACRRM is leading a project to design and deliver a high-quality education package for GPs in Drug and Alcohol Addiction Training. Expressions of interest are invited from members keen to join the project working party to develop training and resources to support the identification, treatment and referral of patients with drug and/or alcohol addiction.

Training will focus on meeting the requirements of GPs practising in rural and remote communities.

Please note the below:

  • It is anticipated that the role will involve design and/or review of content, development of case studies and guidance on clinical requirements and community needs
  • The project will run for 2.5 years but it is expected that most training development work will occur in the first 12 months
  • Working party members will be expected to attend a one-day workshop in Brisbane and participate in regular teleconference meetings
  • Remuneration is available for working party members

Please email Alana Parker, ACRRM Project Manager – Drug and Alcohol Addiction Program at a.parker@acrrm.org.au by Thursday, 7 March if you would like more information or are interested in taking on this role.
