NSW Health has invited the College to nominate representatives to working groups that have been established to progress work on key themes which were identified during the NSW Health and Specialist Medical colleges Roundtable held in October 2019.

The Groups are:

  1. Communication and escalation of accreditation issues – development of consistent processes for colleges to interact with NSW Health facilities regarding identifying concerns; escalation procedures and sharing information concerning accreditation of training sites.
  2. Integrated management of unacceptable behaviour complaints – clarify the respective roles of health services and colleges in managing complaints in this area and develop a consistent approach to complaints management.
  3. Supervisor training and evaluation – develop an agreed framework of supervisor leadership skills and competencies; improve monitoring of performance and share information on supervisor training and performance.
  4. Promoting diversity and flexibility in the workplace

These are voluntary positions.  Meetings will commence late February 2020, and initially be held every two months and then as required.  Teleconference and videoconference facilities will be available.
