ACRRM is proud to be a major supporter of ‘Gowns for Doctors’, a voluntary project coordinated by two Bendigo GPs who are making and delivering gowns to support health workers during the COVID-19 PPE crisis. ACRRM support will see up to 1000 additional gowns being created and sent to practices in rural and regional Victoria – with a strong potential for the project to go national.

These 100% cotton, high-quality surgical gowns are completely washable, rather than single-use only versions. Over 400 Bendigo volunteers are now helping to sew the gowns, and a GoFundMe page has been set up in order to assist more rural communities.

If you would like to support this cause, you can either head to the Gowns for Doctors website and make a tax-deductible donation - 100% of donations goes towards gown making and distribution to GP clinics. Alternatively, if you can assist in sewing gowns please get in contact with Kirby and Nicole by emailing: gownsfordoctors@gmail.com

And, if you are a doctor who has received a gown at your GP clinic, we would love to see a pic. Send it to marketing@acrrm.org.au, or post to social and tag us on Twitter or Facebook.
