The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) welcomes the formal announcement of Fellow Dr Raymond Lewandowski as President of Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (RDAQ).

ACRRM President Dr Ewen McPhee says Dr Lewandowski is a true Rural Generalist who has the commitment and drive to effectively represent rural medical practitioners and rural communities throughout the state.

“RT (Dr Lewandowski) has a real passion for rural medicine and since arriving in Australia more than 10 years ago, has worked to provide his local community with high quality health care. “We are proud of his commitment to supporting up-and-coming Rural Generalists, through strong mentorship and support to registrars in his region and valuable input in to the ACRRM assessment program as a lead examiner.

“This is an exciting time to be a leader in rural medicine in Australia, and I know RT has both the energy and enthusiasm to represent RDAQ members strongly. “We are confident ACRRM’s relationship with RDAQ will continue to be strong and productive as we work together to drive improvements in rural health outcomes,” he says.
