Use your PD portfolio
Members who participate in the ACRRM Professional Development Program (PDP) have access to a PD portfolio where they can now self-record their PDP activities.  Most activities will receive instant PDP credit.  If members attend an accredited course the education provider should report on behalf of the member and that credit will also contribute to their PDP records.

Have you checked out your PD portfolio yet? Adding an entry is easy. View the PD Portfolio Guide here.

PDP resources

A library of quality improvement guidelines and forms is available in the 'Resources' section of your PD portfolio, to provide ideas for how to do various PDP activities including:

- Clinical attachment

- Medical record review
- Patient feedback
- Peer observation of teaching
- Peer review (direct observation and case discussion)
- PUNs and DENs
- Significant event analysis

A new resource has been developed with information on how to use practice analytics for quality improvement. This guide is designed to:

  1. Highlight the value of structured data and what tools are on offer;
  2. Outline how you can structure practice analytics to suit your own needs;
  3. How to ‘think outside the diabetes box’.  E.g. if you are a hospitalist in rural Queensland, how can you use data to improve your practice.
