The National COVID-19 Clinical Evidence Taskforce, which ACRRM is a part of, is commencing consultation on the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) guideline., and welcome frontline health care workers who have direct patient facing roles to join the IPC Frontline Healthcare Workers’ Consultation. They are currently seeking expressions of interest for participants to join the committee.  

Participants
Consultation participants will be:

  • Frontline healthcare staff who are at risk of coming into contact with people diagnosed with, or suspected of, COVID-19. E.g. primary care workers, emergency department.
  • People with frontline clinical experience caring for and managing patients diagnosed with, or suspected of, COVID-19.

Role of participants

  • Provide feedback on implementability of the IPC guidelines, including the preferences and values of healthcare workers.
  • Participate in a series of videoconference sessions and provide ongoing input via email.
  • Commit to attending up to 6 meetings as well as reviewing meeting papers 24 hours prior to the meeting.

Consultation outcomes
The consultation will contribute to ensuring that the living guidelines for preventing COVID-19 infection in healthcare workers reflect the needs and experiences of healthcare workers.

Action

  • Can bring the perspectives of the health care workers your organisation represents.
  • Is a junior practicing clinician
  • Has a substantive client/patient/resident facing role.
