The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists has released the first Australian clinical practice guidelines for the diagnosis and management of endometriosis. The national guideline, developed with input from ACRRM, provides contemporary evidence-based guidance to all practitioners caring for people with suspected, or confirmed, endometriosis. For rural General Practitioners and Rural Generalists, improved awareness of the signs and symptoms of endometriosis, together with processes that support initial examination and management are critical to timely diagnosis and subsequent management strategies involving both them and their patient.
