The College has been invited to nominate a representative to this Working Group, which will provide advice to Stage 6 of the National IAR project, with a focus on adjustments to the National IAR Guidance and IAR Decision Support Tool with a focus on Older Persons. 

The IAR is a tool to assist general practitioners and clinicians to recommend the most appropriate level of care for a person seeking mental health support. It provides advice to Primary Health Networks (PHNs), commissioned providers, and referrers on establishing effective systems for the initial assessment and referral of individuals presenting with mental health conditions in primary health care settings. A maximum of four Working Group sessions are expected, commencing in December 2021 and concluding in March 2022. Committee members will be remunerated for meeting participation and preparation.
