ACRRM is seeking a College representative for the Governance Committee for OECD Patient Reported Indicator Surveys.

The Patient Reported Indicator Surveys (PaRIS) is an OECD initiative to promote people-centered health care. It is being carried out by an international consortium in collaboration with participating countries and the OECD. It involves the development of a new survey of patients with chronic conditions who are managed in primary care, or other ambulatory health care settings. The survey includes both patient-reported outcome measures (PROMS) and patient reported experience measures (PREMS). As well as a patient questionnaire, there is a provider questionnaire to collect some practice and provider characteristics.  

Role and Function 

The PaRIS Governance Committee has been established to provide expert guidance and input throughout the Implementation of the PaRIS Survey.  

The role of the PaRIS Governance Committee is to provide guidance and advice on the PaRIS initiative to the Commission, including: 

  • Technical advice on the implementation of the PaRIS survey in Australia 
  • Collaboration and the identification of opportunities on how to integrate the survey into Primary Care long term in Australia 
  • Communicating and promoting the PaRIS initiative to other relevant committees and/or organisations 
  • Advice on appropriate stakeholders to be kept informed or to be involved in aspects of the project
  • Representing key stakeholder perspectives 

The PaRIS Governance Committee is a time-limited group and will commence on 30 June 2022 and will conclude on 31 December 2024. The group will meet roughly 3-4 times per year for approximately 2 hours at a time.
