Work is underway to update the Autism CRC National Guideline for Assessment and Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders in Australia. The update will ensure the guideline continues to be relevant and useful to all key stakeholders in the autistic and autism communities.

The College is calling for a member to participate in a reference group which provides key stakeholder organisations with a direct way to engage in the update process, which includes (a) sharing our organisation’s views, (b) ensuring members are aware of opportunities to participate in community consultation activities, and (c) providing feedback (as an organisation and/or feedback from individual members) on the draft updated guideline when it is ready for public consultation. The group provides advice and support but does not have any direct input into the revision process (e.g., revising specific recommendations).

This is a voluntary position which would involve meetings on Friday 17 March and Friday 16 June, from 11am - 1pm AEST. There may be some limited reading of documents and/or direct consultation outside of meetings, but this would be negotiated at the time and adjusted to meet availability.

If you are interested and available at these meeting times to represent the College on this committee, please contact policy@acrrm.org.au. A current CV or short outline of any relevant qualifications or experience is requested.

The College acknowledges the contribution of members who take on these roles.
