Why is ACRRM increasing course fees?
To maintain the high standard of courses ACRRM strives for, the College has invested in the delivery of all face-to-face courses. We have secured new state-of-the-art equipment, employed more highly skilled facilitators, and increased the number of courses in locations close to the rural and remote communities Rural Generalists serve. The College has also been impacted by external cost increases. This is the first time the College has increased fees in more than four years during which time the College has absorbed the rising cost of delivery.
All courses have been increased according to the cost to deliver. Members, however, will continue to benefit from the special member rate which is now almost 15% below non-member prices. The new fees will be implemented on 1 February 2024.
If, before 1 February 2024, you have booked and paid for an upcoming course, you will not incur the increased fee.

Why is ACRRM increasing assessment fees?
This is the first assessment fee adjustment in four years. In this period, we’ve absorbed the rising costs of delivery whilst significantly enhancing our assessment capabilities. This includes expanding our team, recruiting more assessment facilitators and examiners and offering more frequent opportunities for assessments throughout the year. We’ve made strategic investments in our processes, with the adoption and refinement of a new, fit-for-purpose Assessment Management System, Practique. This carefully considered fee increase is pivotal in enabling the College to maintain and elevate the quality of the assessment experience we provide to registrars.
ACRRM has conducted a thorough review of each individual assessment, ensuring that the fee increase aligns precisely with the costs associated with maintaining and elevating the assessment experience for registrars. This approach focuses on the adjustments being fair, transparent, and directly correlated with the value and quality improvements in each assessment. No. If you have finalised your booking and payment before 1 February 2024, the increase will not apply to you.
The College understands financial constraints and offers support to members who are experiencing financial hardship. You can apply for financial assistance by completing an application form. Once submitted, the College will determine your eligibility and notify you of an outcome within 14 days of the date of the application for a payment plan, or 30 days for applications to waive fees.
If a registrar wishes to withdraw from an assessment, they must advise the Assessment team as soon as possible via assessment@acrrm.org.au. The College Refund Policy will apply should a registrar choose to withdraw after the enrolment closing date.
