Excellent training opportunities are available in community general practices, hospital and healthcare organisations and Aboriginal community-controlled health services. The region also offers a range of Advanced Specialised Training (AST) options.
Extending across beautiful coastal communities of the South Coast and inland to take in the NSW highlands and snowfields, the South Eastern training region offers a diverse range of Rural Generalist Advanced Specialised Training opportunities including anaesthesia, emergency medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics and palliative care.
The Western NSW training region includes two subregions where you can undertake your training – Western NSW, and Murrumbidgee & ACT. From the rural lifestyle to being part of the great outdoors and enjoying the many festivals and events throughout the year, there are many reasons to consider Advanced Specialised Training in Western NSW. Opportunities include sub-specialities in adult internal medicine, anaesthetics, emergency medicine, mental health, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, palliative care and surgery.
Within North Eastern NSW there are three subregions where you can undertake your training: the beautiful North Coast, the Hunter, Manning and Central Coast, all renowned for wineries and beaches.
The New England/ North Western region is a showcase for a relaxing rural lifestyle and rich agricultural lands.
Opportunities are available for Advanced Specialised Training in anaesthesia, emergency medicine, mental health, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, palliative care and surgery.
