From bustling regional centres, to relaxed coastal towns and close-knit farming communities, there is a location and lifestyle to suit everyone considering a Rural Generalist career in South Australia. It is this diversity which allows registrars to experience work and life in a range of environments, so you can discover the kind of work you really enjoy and find rewarding.
With so many diverse training locations, registrars can also easily pursue Advanced Specialised Training (AST) in a range of disciplines. You can choose from placements as far ranging as an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health post in the remote Oak Valley, or work with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) based at Port Augusta, or deliver obstetrics as part of an advanced skills placement at Murray Bridge, or extend yourself in mental health in the Riverland, all while delivering exceptional health care.
Benefit from structured support throughout your training journey. Choose from 74 ACRRM accredited training posts, with the option to stay in one place during your training.
ACRRM partners with Adelaide University to give registrars access to state-of-the-art education facilities and resources.
